So much of the Christian faith involves following.
With that in mind, why do we keep trying to lead and get out front of God?
We would be better served and serve better to look where God is already at work and then join Him there.
So why do we think we should direct God to where the work should be done?
Because we ignore the first sentence, our faith requires we follow Jesus, not lead Him who is our King.
The Apostle James wrote in James 1: 22, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
I pray all believers around the world will seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness (Matt 6: 33), and in so doing, be doers of the word and not hearers only.
Being a good Christian has nothing to do with building a bigger “church” and everything to do with seeking the kingdom and its expansion, which results in a larger Church, whether the local body grows or not, the kingdom of God wins and that is what is most important.
