The Sanctity of Life

Today was National Sanctity of Life day. I was chosen to kick off the event with prayer at our local pregnancy center. The third Sunday in January has become the regular day for churches, Christians, and regular non-believing folk to gather in support of all life, not just the unborn. This event is not an anti-abortion rally, it is a pro life rally.

In 1984, then President Reagan selected January 22nd for this event as it was the anniversary of the Supreme Court legalizing infanticide nationwide.

Abortion providers are committing murder and they have been committing murder since 1973 on your dime and mine, every single day since, because man said killing the unborn is lawful.

Humans were created in the image of God as it says in Genesis 1: 26-27, “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

It goes much further though.

Life is sacred from the infant to the old. In Lev 18: 21 God said, “You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.” The modern day abortion clinic is a temple to Molech for the sacrificing and profaning of God’s creation. If only it ended there.

We read further instruction in Deuteronomy 18: 10-12, “There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord.” You read that right, sacrificing your sons or daughters is an abomination to the Lord.

We can read about the leadership of Israel over and over again leading their people to build altars and sacrifice their children to Baal. We could just as easily replace the name Israel with the United States and the sentence still is the truth.

This is an ancient practice continued today. It is a deception of Satan to convince people it is OK to ignore God’s law, when man’s law says it is lawful. Man’s law does not trump God’s law. We are fools to follow man and ignore God and in our foolishness over a million American babies are murdered in Satan’s temples yearly.

God is great though. He loves us enough and is compassionate enough that if you have done this, he still offers you redemption through His Son. You must repent of your sin and embrace Jesus as the only path of righteousness available to man, available to each of us through belief in Him as the Son of God.

Murder is murder, but grace is grace. Jesus perfect sacrifice is enough to atone for all men and women and their sins, but those men and women must believe in Him and repent of those sins. Your last breath is coming, do you know when? Please repent before your last breath passes your lips so you can experience the love of God through his Son Jesus.
