Who We Are

Catalyst Baptist Church exists in response to the Great Commission. We use small groups to identify needs within the community and address those needs through Biblical means. If there is an unaddressed need in this community, we want to fill it.

Please contact Pastor Ian with your need or if you think you are ready to become a Guerrilla. (please check out Guerrilla Church for further explanation)

We meet in the Bessemer at the City Hall building at 411 S. Sophie Street, up at the top of the hill in the auditorium.

We aim

  • to reach unbelievers where they are through small groups and Sunday services,
  • address the needs of our community with the love of Jesus,
  • practice a baptism of faith to publicly acknowledge Jesus as Lord,
  • and disciple believers to spread the Good News of Christ to the ends of the earth.

Jesus told the disciples, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” There was a specific call to leave the past and go into a new future with Jesus in this statement. As a church, we want to equip believers to leave their nets, following Jesus wherever He will take them. All the while identifying others in need of Jesus.

We are ambassadors for Jesus in a fallen world.

Join us Sundays at 11:00 a.m. to worship our Lord, with Sunday School starting at 10:15 a.m.

We also meet every Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Lahte’s Main Street Fitness in downtown Ironwood to retell Bible stories.
