Who We Are

We meet weekly on Sundays in Bessemer, MI in the City Hall building at 411 S. Sophie Street at 11 a.m., This is at the top of the hill on Sophie street, this is not the courthouse on Moore Street.

Catalyst Baptist Church exists in response to the Great Commission. We use small groups to identify needs within the community while addressing those needs through Biblical means and service. If there is an unaddressed need in this community, we want to fill it.

Please contact Pastor Ian with your need or if you think you are ready to become a Guerrilla at ian@catalystbaptist.org. (please check out Guerrilla Church for further explanation)

We aim

  • to reach unbelievers where they are ,
  • address the needs of our community with the love of Jesus,
  • practice a baptism of faith to publicly acknowledge Jesus as Lord,
  • and disciple believers to spread the Good News of Christ to the ends of the earth through small groups and Sunday services.

Jesus told the disciples, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” There was a specific call to leave the past and go into a new future with Jesus in this statement. As a church, we want to equip believers to leave their nets, following Jesus wherever He will take them. All the while identifying others in need of Jesus.

We are ambassadors for Jesus in a fallen world.

Join us Sundays at 11:00 a.m. to worship our Lord, with Sunday School starting at 10:00 a.m. To see Pastor Ian preach before visiting or if you missed a recent message, please visit our YouTube page under Catalyst Baptist Church. Subscribe and get a notice every week of our new message.
